Yeah, it really bears no comparison. Skeptical of any version of this practice that isn't almost monstrously empowering. Love is more potent and terrifying even than polite manners or double-entry bookkeeping.
Yeah people talk about metta as this softly softly thing and wave it about like one of those inert kids sponge swords, without realising that it's sharp enough to cut you in half if you get the angle right.....so to speak.
As for Lana, my wife assures me that she, in fact, wouldn't mind.
