That whole thread is great. PS: Chakras made little sense to me until a friend was giving me a blowjob and my mind collapsed into the ‘root chakra’ - which was a lot like lucid dreamless sleep. Those nutty yogis were more right that I wanted to believe.

Oh cool. I’ve heard a few stories about people having non-ordinary experiences in Impro, acting, singing classes. Chakra systems attract a lot of nutters and so on, but it makes good sense to me how so many traditions arrived at similar ways of mapping experience.

Oh the Russian cic; yeah I’m pretty sure she reinvented a bunch of chakra stuff that got adopted by Western yoga/new-age groups. I don’t know the history of that v.well I’ve been indoctrinated by tantric buddhism so my understanding of it may be different I guess
