To celebrate St.Anthony’s feast day — aka Bourdain Day, June 25th — I’ll be cooking his version of the macau pork sandwiches, and hosting a viewing party.
Maybe this seems silly or indulgent, which is fair enough — it is probably both of those things — but there is some strange power in celebrating another being. I did something similar when my dog died, which proved to be healing & instructive. Let’s call it a grey area...
