I think what I am looking for might be instructions for a spiritual practitioner, with a focus on "how to cope with crisis induced by their practice" (dark night in Christian, for instance). I wonder whether there is any parallel in Jewish tradition or Sufi

‘Interior Castle’ might fit the bill. In mahamudra/dzogchen related texts, you often see sections approaching how to practice when various difficulties appear, but I’m struggling to come up with a book recommendation because it is usually v.condensed.
