Tobacco or tobacco smoke? I find tobacco kinda nice as a flavour/scent but tobacco smoke is viscerally revolting.
Yeah tobacco is a lovely smell, kind of raisiny, so I suspect this scent used a synthetic compound I have a fairly sensitive palate/nose — so I prefer natural body smells — but I still like strong food/wine smells. Also gross: • minty chewing gum • most perfume • incense
I really hate smells I can't get away from, even if I otherwise like the smell, so yeah I also prefer natural body smells (at least on myself). I expect it's an autism spectrum thing. I'm with you on incensese and most perfume though there are some I quite like.
I visited a tobacco factory in Zimbabwe once, it smelt amazing. But I can’t handle perfume & incense: instant coughing fits. (This is a problem on flights sometimes, if I’m sitting near someone wearing a smell.)
Yeah I often have similar problems on public transport. People bathe themselves in these overwhelming scents and then get on to crowded trains and I hate them so much.
