3 years ago I was interested in the science, now I argue that all traditional formulations of karma and rebirth are incoherent. I think belief in karma is harmful since it normalises suffering in relation to social errors.
You remind me of something Ken McLeod said recently on Mystical Positivist — discussing Hokai Sobol’s comments & the risks of adopting pre-modern cosmology — roughly: The doctrine of karma is inhumanely cruel.
