Has your experience of clear light during sleep impacted on your (non)experience of cessation? IIRC Culadasa’s take on this is that if one has access/intention, the yogi would experience ‘pure consciousness’ (prabhasvaracitta?) instead of a discontinuity of conscious experience

Lots of confusion around this issue, even among teachers. "Pure consciousness" isn't an upgraded version of cessation, it's just a particular kind of experience. Cessation, as you point out, is no experience at all. No need to fetishize the clear light as The Right Experience.
