NB: Trungpa wasn’t referring to ‘transcendent experiences’ so much as noticing when the person begins to have vipashyana type experience in daily life, which he coined ‘panoramic awareness’ - great phrase, imo - which he then said to ‘disown’ and just be quite natural about it.
There are some systems which have this feature built in to them, where they expect people to have more insight experiences when not in formal meditation, which then informs the formal practice. Trungpa had something similar to this in his public instruction, post ‘72 IIRC.
