I find Trungpa’s definition of spiritual materialism os most use when in the context of the other two ‘lords of’ - body/speech/mind - because we all have some grasp of what standard materialism looks like, so then psychological and spiritual materialism begin to make more sense.
I kind of forgot about the collecting, picking and choosing aspect (like those birds which make shiny nests), but it makes sense. This reminds me I should revisit Cutting Through sometime. Wild book eh.
