Tricky translating visual associations to a reasonable response. Few thoughts: • benefit is subjective, contingent on one’s conditioning, although in some specific cases the benefit (+/-) is clearer....not to be confused with more people agreeing about that perceived benefit.

• two lenses which come to mind are the buddhist wisdom/compassion (although there is a lot of silly thinking re: punya), and the notion of usefulness and/or enjoyment • then you have these unclear tensions between benefit/harm for self/others, over short/long terms
