• two lenses which come to mind are the buddhist wisdom/compassion (although there is a lot of silly thinking re: punya), and the notion of usefulness and/or enjoyment • then you have these unclear tensions between benefit/harm for self/others, over short/long terms

• I suppose a lot of this could end up coming down to some fuzzy discussion about what ‘feels right’. I generally strongly dislike appeals to ‘authenticity’, but I can see how that might be what feels right according to a person’s conditioning, even if that is delusional.
