There is also "language of the soul". As long as you know the difference between the two modes (scientific and soul language), then go for it! The problem arises when you don't know the difference.

well, IIRC, you mentioned a certain type of offering practice. Vajrayana traditions has a language of justification for why one should/might want to do this thing, often this language can be tremendously 'woo' (eg: adhisthana/blessings). 1/x

one doesn't necessarily have to believe in the metaphysical justification for that 'soul language', to serve a certain purpose. Very woo folk might get offended by that bastardised use of their language, but they're occupying a different - albeit overlapping - cultural space 2/x
