My concern is that people will read these masturbatory accounts of profound spiritual experience and think that something is wrong unless they also experience epiphanies and glory and one hand clapping. Fuck this shit.
I think you're right to call bullshit, lot's of people are still being sold religion on the back of 'profound spiritual experience'. But, I suppose something is wrong, until it's not: even if the only thing that changes is the person's perspective on it being wrong or not.
