      Reading J. Krishnamurthi is tragic. He's practically begging people to examine their own minds, to realize that their thoughts are conditioned garbage. As he gets older, you can hear the desperation more and more. And at best, he seems to have maybe enlightened 1 person.

      We’re inundated from childhood with influences designed to make us the second hand people K warned us against becoming. We can see through some of it (Hey! Santa Claus isn’t real!), but the other stuff is so entwined with our sense of self, it’s like sawing off an arm to escape.

      yes. I wasn't as bothered by some when I hit the first awakening. But one of my (no longer when she awakened) students was really really upset for a few weeks after she awakened.

      Did your initial awakening bare resemblance to any of the classic wisdom traditions' models of awakening, if so which one? How do you conceive of awakening, ie: what's a functional definition for you? Please include as much detail & disambiguation as you feel relevant 🤘🙏
