What should be of concern isn’t Trump going in to UNSC to make a securitising move - it’s the defence strategy which will be several steps ahead. At least he doesn’t have the popular support like Bush had when he was making his UN ‘Axis of Evil’ speeches....which was bonkers, post 9/11. No one is convinced that’s why they went in, of course, but they sure knew how to drum up popular mandate for ‘supranormal policy’.
