In short, I think it causes more confusion for many people. It confuses and bores me. That said - practitioners I respect very much have put a lot of time and energy into studying Madhyamaka, so I can see that hypothetically some people may find it helpful in practice.

Another one of my favourites is receiving an unsolicited bashing with the Pali Suttras.

But some real talk: when people start quoting texts it is often a sign that they does not actually understand what they are talking about, but like to look smart regardless - unless they are looking for genuine scholarly discussion.
