A chef I used to work for liked to use music to gather & direct his team. He said that in the kitchen, ‘there is the possibility for every move to be part of The Gesture, as Passard calls it.’ Strong parallels to the tantric mudra, and the ideas found in the psychology of flow.

I haven't thought of it in this way before, yet it resonates. I think this is part of why I enjoy cooking. It's physical, precise, creative, and I'm skilled enough to feel a sense sureness in my motions and decisions.
