the only cooking-related injuries i’ve had all involved underequipped kitchens, stubborn ambition and butter knives.https://twitter.com/eleanorkpenny/status/1029644920485765120 …

I severed a tendon in my foot making a smoothie a few years ago. 22 stitches required. The kitchen was like a scene from Fargo.

How did the foot end up in the blender?

It was a brand new blender, first or second use. Super sharp blade. I poured the smoothie out and the blade was unattached once loose of the stand
Blade bounced off kitchen top, I did an air-dance to avoid it, it landed on floor under foot just as I landed. Cld’ve bn worse.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
Ouch!
Your story makes more sense than the image I initially had, trying to imagine how one might get a foot in a blender (whilst it still being attached)
