Contemplative fieldnotes:
After talking w/ @spacecrone about trauma, it occurred to me that I neglected to consider which meditation teachers offer techniques & framings conducive to resolving trauma without presenting/selling it as the main focus of the practice.

I’m reminded of something Culadasa said about trauma, that he himself found initial awakening painless enough but second path was very difficult due to the purification of psycho-physical trauma and so on. This makes sense, but contrasts to the standard trauma work sales pitch.

Do any of the more experienced twitter practitioners have any advice on this, or resources to recommend on the issue of trauma/purification - even if it is alluded to indirectly? cc:

I have my own thoughts/framing for this stuff, but I’d like to hear what more experienced meditators think about this. Please & thank you.
