Tonight: this yogi will be practicing the indivisible union of Lucy and Phenibut. May auspicious insights be recognized by the sphere whence they arise. Trip safely, invite auspiciousness to the party. Call mandalas inner and outer when in need. Much love.

Nice, easy trip thus far. A yogī taught me a trip trick: while tripping, invite mind to look at the aspect of itself that isn't tripping. Doing so "pauses" the trip. Go back to the trip. Then go back to the space in which the trip arises. Mind is fascinating stuff.

This is fascinating, and reminds me strongly of a dream practice: once lucid, you let go of attachment to the dream activity and let mind gaze into the stillness, the dream quickly evaporates into dreamless lucidity, a good opportunity to recognise clarity-emptiness of awareness.

thank you for pointing out similarities between cultivating awareness of tripping (or other altered states) and being aware that one is dreaming. good catch!

Whilst the method of training is very similar, I wonder how similar the mechanism is in the mind.....bizarre and very interesting.
Of course, the parallels to ‘ordinary’ experience are perhaps the most important here.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, kind Lucy Yogī
