Well said. I just read the report. My conclusion is that Mr.Mukpo is even more of a fraud than I suspected, and the shambhala institution is sick at the root. Shame for the brilliance of kagyu-nyingma mind teachings to get distorted so horribly.

IIRC he didn't do much training. The traditional training, that is. We live in an age of microwave lamas. Same is happening with the latest batch of famous Nyingma tulkus. Just a bit of retreat and off you go. Wasn't that way in old Kham.

I think this is one of the most troubling things in the current state of Tibetan Buddhism. I guess it is easier to look smart on a throne, surrounded by attendants. But being a tulku is a no excuse for skipping practice, as some kind of "special chosen one".
