Well I definitely don't know the fact of his role - or not - in the facilitation of Sakyong's abuse, but I know that he is a 'senior teacher' according to the Shambhala website. I personally don't think that sounds like he is low on the ladder, but I don't know what his role is.

Odd thing: the Sakyong doesn't come across as very "sexual." He comes across as an introvert who would rather be living in the countryside than be head of the biggest western Buddhist cult. I always called him the reluctant Sakyong.
