Does it? Worked on different Lenovo laptops, Desktop computers, and in the Google cloud. For the Google cloud we don't even see the specific hardware model information ;)
Impressive findings! Not to denigrate your hard work, 15/60 bits of exfiltrated data is likely going to deter a lot of attackers due to the slow drip, except truly dedicated ones. Let's hope that this hurdle makes this attack less exploitable, which makes it better for all of us!
As always mixed feeling about it. You guys did absolutely fantastic work. That's for sure! On the other hand, if you are right (reading paper currently), then industry is more damaged than thought even in the worst nightmares. But anyway, this needs to be out in public. Thanks!
We informed Intel (and also other industry players) very early in the process on March 20. That was more than 120 days before the disclosure. We're not happy with the situation either, but at some point customers deserve to know what they're up to.
