    Border wall construction has involved dynamiting mountainsides, bulldozing saguaro cacti, and diverting groundwater away from an ecosystem providing some endangered species' only habitat. Activists warn the harm will continue as long as the wall stands.

    Fantastic story Annie! Love seeing ranchers innovate solutions that sustain their family livelihoods, wild trout and their urban neighbors all at the same time

    The ideas in this story have been knocking around my head for years, I'm so glad to finally get them out. What is happening on the Colorado River is essentially the country's largest climate adaptation effort -- and it offers real hope.
