As much as I dislike Thor Ragnarok, I will say that I can remember it distinctly, which is more than I can say for either of the two other Thors. That counts for something.

Honest question. Have you ever cared about Marvel? Like read comic or watch cartoons. I think it's a big factor in the enjoyment of the movies. I care not a little but not a lot. I find that people that does not care, or cares too much tends to dislike the movies.

Yep. Was big into them as a kid in the 80s. had the toys, the comics, even the Top Trumps cards.

That film was the ultimate apotheosis of the JUST MAKE EVERYTHING BIGGER sensibility that the MCU works on, also the moment I stopped being bothered about any of the films. The scale is so impersonal and vague, there's no real threat when it's THE WHOLE WORLD at stake.
