I’ve been studying NK for a long time. I would love for this to be a sign of things to come. But I’m pretty sure this is NK doing what they do best, put on a show. As long as boarders remain closed it is an empty promise.

Basically South Korea and the rest of the world don’t need peace from NK. The North Koreans need peace from their own government.

Oh, for sure. But letting them engage on friendly terms with other countries might show them what they're missing by being a dictatorship. Hopefully. It's at least a sign that KJ is willing to compromise on some things

Don’t get me wrong. Nothing would make me happier than being proven wrong on this. I’ve been to the “family reunion” area before. It has never been used. Most likely they will trot out loyalists who already get everything to talk for a minute in a room.
