A little wary of the possibility people will hear my Far Cry 5 song out of context of the game and genuinely think it's a deranged Christian fundamentalist anthem. I tried to make the preaching sound batshit insane, but Poe's Law is the enemy of irony these days. Welp.

Here are the lyrics for context. What do ye think? Would ye know it's meant to be ironic & sound like a deranged villain, if ye knew nothing about Far Cry? I don't want to come across to new listeners like a fundamentalist cult-head lolpic.twitter.com/20U59KN6Mi

Well, it just released on Google Play so I guess that kind of makes it too late to change it now even if I did want to. Decision is made for me, then! Put it down to a sign from God LOLpic.twitter.com/GuLAdMnwxa

4 years ago I messaged you saying how much "The New Black Gold" meant to me as I struggled with surgery. You replied "...The beauty of art is that we can all interpret it to mean whatever it is we hear in it..." I think it'll be important to keep this in mind with this song.

That's not to say that I think the underlying insanity in this song will be lost on most people, in fact I think 99% of people will understand the message. But there will be that 1% that miss the point. Fantastic song as always, great work.

Thanks mate. I'm sure you're right, it'll probably end up being a non-issue :)
