It honestly depends, if I'm excited or torn for it then I'm looking days before for reviews, but if I'm not that excited then I check reviews on launch day.

Generally speaking I do not search for game videos/LPs based on dates of release but rather when I am interested in picking it up which is almost 100% of the time no where ever close to release date. There by giving time for patches & sometimes cheaper.

Same here.

Depends entirely on the game.

Launch day, then a secondary spike the day after followed by (under new YouTube) tumbleweed. The days of the longer tail seem over.

Day before launch has the most hype backing it, but you run the risk of throwing your weight behind a stinker.

Day after just for reviews or to find a specific song or cutscene. Day before would be more widespread browsing/hype building. I remember even watching those Oblivion 5-9 second teasers alot before release whilst hanging on the forums!

Well that was... inconclusive. Kinda depends on the review embargo. No reviews = way more reason to watch Twitch/Youtube.

Not a content creator so I don't want to skew results. But I tend to look for things related to a game after I've already gotten into it, this can be launch day or weeks after release. If i were to put in an actual vote, closest answer would be day after release.
