I'm proud of ye for getting involved & speaking out. People who call you 'entitled generation' or 'snowflakes' or whatever numbskull pejorative they come up with next week are spewing desperate ad hominem because they have no better argument. Ignore 'em. \m/

How about violent crime has decreased 50% since '92? Will that work? Or that during the Assault Weapons Ban, two students shot up a school in Colorado? Or the most recent shooting in Maryland was with an illegally used pistol (shooter was 17).

Cheers Bob. An actual smart response, how refreshing! I'd argue in return that none of these points really contradict the message that better gun regulations would mean fewer large scale massacres.

And I would agree that there are certain regulations that would help, mainly dealing with people who are troubled or mentally ill. But banning particular types of guns will only get people to switch to other guns.

Making it harder for mentally ill people to get guns is definitely a good starting point IMO.
