Knowing a surprise does not “spoil” or “ruin” a story. This is petty to believe this.

To clarify now that the entire internet is pissed off. I am specifically putting the term “spoiler” on trial. It is a sad way to view stories. Having an affinity for being surprised is totally fine. I hate the term “spoiler".

I dunno, the adrenaline rush of an amazing twist is a huge part of the pacing dynamics on the first experience of that story. It's a shame when you miss out on it
