exactly the same for me... stopped using it to avoid all the promotional bullshit that gets in the way of anything interesting... maybe this is a positive response to that

Facebook has groups for specific games, music, science and things. I don't care about individual people.

Same. I don't even 'get' to see content from the people I want to see content from anymore, so why bother? I use it as an easy way to share pictures with my family (I live abroad). That's what it was originally meant for anyway I guess.

(I will literally email them to tell I've uploaded pictures to it)

They're also talking about (and have experimented on a small scale with) throttling content from news publishers as well. Which I care about more than everything else in my feed

After extensive work blocking all the political shit and hiding all the people selling oils/makeup, my FB timeline is much more enjoyable. I see only family/friends posting jokes, pictures, life updates I care about, etc.. Took a while, but it's better now.

I only go one facebook when someone tells me that they've sent me something on facebook...... which kinda undermines the entire point of it.

I never understand them showing stuff your friends have liked. If I gave a shit about football I’d like a page about football.
