Playing GTA: Vice City & San Andreas in a post-GTAV world is rough; it very much demonstrates the vast improvements the last decade has brought to game mechanics & controls.

I hate how that was still not a feature in GTA 4, where you spend 5 minutes driving to an location before getting killed over and over again

IV and V are weird to me. Theyre undeniable mechanical improvements over III, VC, & SA, but i feel like V's story just isn't as good as IV's

Hard for me to pick which I prefer tbh, they just had such totally different vibes

It improved so much over even 4... I really can't imagine playing San Andreas now.

Going back to old games can be tough. Stuff like a properly organized quest log I get in current RPGs make going back to older ones tough and hard to figure out where you are at with each quest.
