Well, as expected I'm hemorrhaging patrons today. Nice job with the new fee structure, @Patreon. right in time for the holidays! Thanks!pic.twitter.com/Bu4WK9V1hs

I still want to support so I'll keep it on. I give £2 so I don't think I get hit quite as much... but I want to support artists; not parton lol
I love supporting creators I like and this whole thing is bullshit.
And I actually wanted to become a patron for a small amount of money (cuz student...) but now I'm not sure anymore... damn how can I support you :c
To those who only donated $1 and $2 and stopped because of this, THERE IS BANDCAMP! You can still support Gav (and other musicians) there! Shame about the non musician creators. I hope they find another way to get that support back and soon. Completely dumb situation....
Someone could make a fortune by setting up a "proxy" patreon. so 100 $1 patrons pledge through a proxy with is lumped as a single patron on the site, bypassing the issue of the extortionate fee. Not saying I would set it up, or if it's even legal, but just saying it could happen.
I was finally getting to a place where I could afford to support my faves and now this? I still want to and will look to rework my finances but this really is a shitty move on the part of @Patreon bad form.
And worst of all, you are just the tip of the iceberg. The established person. Now imagine a new creator coming into this, where it's either a 5$ pledge or nothing.
I promise I'll buy the album when it comes out but I couldn't afford the fees this month with the uncertainty of this new system. I will return if they fic it of you end up moving. Sorry gav
hi could I speak to you for a @mashable article about losing patrons under the new fee structure? Thanks! sasha@mashable.com
