Something like this I feel would greatly benefit the entire YouTube ecosystem, especially insuring advertisers are putting their products on the right things. Just a vague idea, but you get the picture :)pic.twitter.com/nrpZNMubmU

You curse in a lot of your videos man. If someone really sat down & reviewed your channel for a program like that, you might not make it in as the current requirement go. It's a cool idea but in practice you would REALLY have to define what "advertiser friendly" actually means.
have to agree here. This is why I keep most of my videos PG 13. The 2 that got demonetised had either extreme violence or swearing in the title. Not saying it's right, just that it would influence any potential whitelistings of channels
Swearing's the furthest thing from an offence, and advertisers know this. Quite frankly I couldn't give a shit about what I say, since my videos get approved after limited ads anyway, AND even videos that don't get into the process at all ;)
The fact that some videos with cursing are allowed and then some aren't is exactly the issue. It's a grey area and I don't trust anyone to really get it right. With a certified program, channels and careers would live and die by that. Do you trust them to get it right? I don't
Exactly! Imagine having your entire channel refused verification because you once let 'fuck' slip out in a vlog
I honestly wouldn't care, cause a website shouldn't limit my standard of who I wanna be, and in the long run would've stood my ground against a broken system, i.e, not lying to myself for the sake of financial support, but moreso for the people that are sick of their shit.
I mean I agree... I just wouldn't trust YT to implement your idea properly & fairly lol
I don't either, but if they manage to find themselves an extra pickle, I'd hope that people would band together and actually find a new system. A lot of us aren't happy with YouTube and have had every opportunity to leave... Where are we all? Still on the same battlefield.
hooray for monopolies! :D
Haha exactly the thing most people are trying to fight against, this broken society that gets afraid because money goes away. I can get a job at McDonalds and graft YouTube. Heck probably would give me a reason to be happier when I get home from it:3
Also let's be honest, they're "limited ads" as opposed to "demonetized". We still get money, just less is all ^-^
