One reason it's so hard to focus on the positives in your own work is because the nagging voice in your head telling you where you went wrong is often telling you so you can use the knowledge to get better next time. Get good, get better, get real good. Then get better again

Did you make something shite? Something that truly sucked? That's ok! Why did it suck? What was bad about it? Figure that out. Practice how to do it better next time. Practice it many times. It won't come fast, it won't come easy. but nothing worth doing is easy!

If there's one piece of advice I could ever give young or new artists it's this: 'Don't be discouraged when you suck and fail at first' We ALL suck at first. And we ALL fail 100 times. Art isn't about 'having talent', it's about discipline, practice, time, dedication & effort
