I've always seen patriotism as having a love for one's country and sometimes we do stupid things in the name of both love & country.

I dont understand why people can't take their patriotism and apply that same love and devotion of country to the whole world and humanity.

Because than they can't proclaim to be super-awesome ans a quintilloin times better than everyone else and their mums anymore
