One of many exampLe of how BotW was poorly designed is how there is no permanent "last result" weapon like the knife in resident evil

To clarify, I'm not saying the game needs a "last resort" weapon to make it more fair or easier. I'm saying it needs one to be more fun.

Some responded with "well I never ran out of weapons so who cares?" To that I say "what's the point of limiting ammo if you never run out?"

My take: I've yet to run out of weapons, but I've come close, so I carefully consider resources in every fight. That's interesting design.

I used bombs a lot, and I beat bosses with a literal stick. I loved this game.

I 100% get you and Jim's disdain for the equipment system, but when reviewing it I actually beat several bosses with a wooden stick.

So for me I never had that "groan this sucks" moment. I also bought max arrows at every store and used bombs so maybe I got lucky?

You're missing my point. There should be a more exciting, scary last resort attack than bombs or "I guess I'll just farm for swords"

The fact that the Master Sword became this weapon for me says a lot about the game design.
