PC repair shop told me it was 'normal' for my i7 cores to be 50 celsius internetting & 90 c while gaming. Um... different repair shop then?

I can't imagine that happening. Even a few inches away from your CPU temps drop significantly.

It's pretty much right on top of the RAm and well, it's paert of the motherboard

Even the MoBo, you'd have to get temps high enough to melt solder or plastic, your CPU would shut down before that.

Articles from PC gamer (etc) don't agree with me, but experience from years at a PC support shop those temps are fine.
