At the top of my lyrics documents i often write 1 sentence to remind me what the song is supposed to be about so i don't stray too far off track

Similar feeling here. I always find when the main chorus hook is the first part I come up with, the rest of the song kinda writes itself, whereas writing the main hook last always causes block issues
