I often feel it's generally healthier not to idolize creators. It's possible to love & enjoy someone's work without putting your emotions & personal stakes into this stranger you've never met. You then avoid feeling hurt or betrayed when they fuck up or turn out to be a dickhead

Of course, this gets very complicated & difficult sometimes -especially these days when creators' personalities are such a huge integral part of their brands. We all get sucked in, it's hard NOT to admire people if they connect with you. But it's something worth thinking about.

So true! I used to look up to you until you started throwing rocks at my car from the side of road. Even went as far as to make eye contact with me as I was driving by. Never idolize anyone!
