Really loving The Last of Us Part 2, but one gameplay design criticism I'd have is just how many point-of-no-returns there are and how easy it is to be locked out of useful/fun collectibles and great extra moments because I've decided to explore the wrong bit of the area first.

THIS! I had to replay a 25 minute segment because I missed an essential upgrade by getting locked into a cutscene
