My parents always always ALWAYS ask me "Aren't you bored staying at home?" No. No I am not. I would do this forever if I could.
-
That might be the case years ago for them. in times when your options would be books you have at home or tv. But this days you can literally not leave home at all and live quite comfortably. Movies, games, ebooks, audiobooks, music etc.

For real. If I don't feel like vegging out and watching/reading something I'll try and learn a new skill. So I'm still sitting about but I'm engaging my mind
-
Yeah! And even if people don't want to engage their minds there are ten million ways to entertain oneself

I get so frustrated with Mom sometimes about that. She had NetFlix, almost 6000 books on Kindle, all those free G5 games, and she's bored???

There is a thing called choice paralysys. When you have so much choice you don't choose anything.

Depression can have an effect, making even things you love feel boring
-
True, but I'm not talking about that, I felt that would be evident from the tweet, but maybe I phrased it badly

While I wholly agree I often find myself bored because of a choice paralysis. There's too many possibilities nowadays, too much media to consume, too many hobbies and skills to pursue, i find myself scared to waste time on making the wrong choice and so end up making no choice.

Haha, sounds like me with my Steam backlog
