You said "brand or thing", I didn't write about brand, if you notice, as there is nothing for me to refute on that side.
Also I was pointing out that the way you approach thing you are fan of was healthy, as a counter point, to the example in the OP, so I don't see how what I said is false equivalency. It basically a complement on your personality.
