And yet, you comment without being aware that those who received around $20 or less contributed about one word, a few words or a sentence. I know this because I composed, arranged, performed and produced, that specific song.

And that those who participated & contributed to something that made it to the final version or inspired the creation of a final version got paid with full knowledge and acceptance of the final payment.

If you have specific questions about how this song was crafted by all means, feel free to ask me as long as the approach is respectful.

And I want to add that I do not work for hitrecord or Ubisoft. All the work I put in - I did willingly, without coercion and with full understanding of what I was getting into. And I would do it again.

Your choice of example feels *extremely* personal to me because I worked on that song from conception to production to final execution in every single facet - lyrics, music, vocals, performance, production.

We read the terms. We agreed to the terms. We participated and enjoyed every minute of it not for the cash but because we wanted to work together. And we continue doing so often on a daily basis even without a full blown production such as this one.

Hi Denisee, do you mind if I ask, did the creators own the copyrights to the collaborations, or did it go to HitRecord?

Hey Gav, you can find the terms here https://bit.ly/2XSu3LV . Creators retain ownership of the records they post.

In general I would only recommend that artists upload work that they want others to remix. This is what I do. Everything else I work on I distribute elsewhere.
