This is why I always carry around a handkerchief like a posh wanker, helps keep my glasses squeaky clean, and I can look like an absolute tosser when I use it in public, it's great.

HOW. I cannot get mine clean with anything. Not soap, not washing up liquid, not even the proper lens cleaner & microfiber cloth that came with them. Nothing ever seems to get the smudges off. I hate them lol

I, too, love the annoying clouds of smudge in front of my eyes.

Once I started cleaning them in the sink with just the tiniest drop of Dawn (dish soap, if that brand isn't big over there), there was no going back. Way cleaner than I ever got them with glasses cleaner and microfiber cloth.

I don't even properly dry the lenses; just carefully dab off any little droplets left.

I use cheap microfiber cloth from the supermarket. Works like a charm, as long as you don't run it through a washing machine. The cloth that always comes with your glasses tends to be pretty crap.

Ah, yes.. The glorious life of having glasses. Constantly battling dirty lenses. Aaaand losing. Every. Time. And NOTHING works, nothing ever gets them as clean as when you first get them.

I've resigned myself to always looking through the equivalent of Vaseline, thanks to my 1yr olds insatiable fascination with trying to remove them. When I do manage to get them clean, it's like having new eyes. Strangely, I don't have the same problem with my sunglasses

Also, thinking about new eyes reminded me of this: https://youtu.be/V-fRuoMIfpw
