I totally get the criticisms of last night's GOT (in particular how certain things were too rushed & some people acted very out of character) but I... still liked it? I thought it was beautifully shot & IMO there were 2 very fitting endings to two long term character plotlines

And yes the giant crossbows stuff made absolutely no sense, haha. But shit, it looked cool as hell at least

I can hand-wave the crossbows, but I can’t forgive what they did with Jaime.

I felt sooo differently hehe. It's hard to say without spoiling but I always thought that when one particular thing finally happened it would really solidify to him that the other thing was the only thing that could satisfy him, as pathetic & tragic as that was

Totally get that, and I don't disagree. But what I was hoping for was a similar conversation between him and that second person that the second person had with Tyrion. You know, "Please give up", "No, I never will." etc etc. Then he chooses to stay because he is who he is.

Yeah. That was kinda what I expected too the week before- I guess by the time he got there it was all too late (which I kinda liked more, cos it was a deservedly tragic outcome to such a toxic relationship)
