Mix engineers are the unsung heroes of the music world. Almost every song that pleases your ears does so in huge part because someone mixed it well

It's actually
@VinnyVinesauce who talked about mixing on stream a while ago that got me into paying more attention to the craft Especially when you realize that the same person mixed a ton of songs you like whoopsThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I would definitely put Queens if the Stone Age (Josh did a lot of different things), Ok Computer, and Aretha Franklins engineerie. Beyoncés, Tool’s It’s so much to A&B from and trying to at least get to that point and depending on what your making. It’s a lot. It’s fun.

not only that but rick rubin just cranks the volume up so that it sounds louder on the radio so

Rick's great at coming up with cool ideas and coaxing great performances out of certain artists as well... but I've also heard some albums by him that I think are bloody awful sounding haha

Is this you getting on your soapbox after fighting to mix Rebirth for however long it took? Lol Joking aside you're absolutely right. That isnt to say the producers dont deserve credit. Everybody involved deserves credit but the mixing is just so crucial to the feel.
