Yes he’s frustrating but that’s not it. Ape and by extension Demon of Hate feel like Bloodborne bosses and don’t really seem to mesh well with Sekiro’s combat system. Ape took me longer than Corrupted Monk, Genichiro Ashina and Lady Butterfly combined.

Interesting... I wonder if that's why I enjoyed it more, cos it felt more bloodborne-ish. Genichiro & Butterfly were great fights too, felt super hard at first then you totally stomp them when you know how :)
