Having reached the end of Sekiro, a few thoughts: 1. I loved this game 2. I would love loved it a lot more if it had a lower difficulty. I'm not saying it 'should' have it, or that my experience is the 'right' one, just that for me, it was much too hard to be fun at times

frankly, the high difficulty saw to it, that I never completed the one dark souls game I bought, since it was just to frustrating. hence I never bought an other game of theirs with similar difficulty

Same here. I had to get a trainer and turn on god mode just to make some progress. I want to love DS but I can’t do the combat system.

Huh, and here i genuinly thought dark souls is beatable by every Person, simply because one could level up. Its interesting to see how subjective this is

Without cheating I could get to the Taurus demon, or whichever one is in the narrow alley with the dogs. Going the other way the hydra in the gardens got me. 30+ hours and the combat still felt slow, unresponsive, and I never mastered dodging.

I think it’s the combat speed more than anything. I loved Ninja Gaiden and completed it several times. Nioh is also fantastic for the most part.

Ah, i get you, alright, then this just proves what i thought, its the combat not the difficulty. Ninja Gaiden tho, man i loved that game, Nioh was great too, but i also happen to love Dark Souls ^^. Did you try Bloodborne?

If you can’t grasp the control scheme, then I would classify that as part of the difficulty. For example I can drive stick as that’s the way I was taught. Put someone that’s only driven auto in a manual car, and they are not going to have a good time.

If I'm still having issues grasping it after 50+ hours (which I was), it's something I would very much appreciate an easier version of 🤷‍♂️
