Having reached the end of Sekiro, a few thoughts: 1. I loved this game 2. I would love loved it a lot more if it had a lower difficulty. I'm not saying it 'should' have it, or that my experience is the 'right' one, just that for me, it was much too hard to be fun at times

In Dark Souls & Bloodborne when I defeated bosses I felt elated & happy. In this game when I beat bosses I felt a mix of agitation, relief & the looming dread of the next roadblock to the amazing exploration & 'normal' combat.

One example is the Mikiri vs Jump evasion system. No matter how long I practiced, no matter how many times I did it over 50+ hours of play, my hands & brain were never once able to react fast enough to know which one was the right choice. It was always a 50-/50 gamble.

And this is what I think a lot of people don't seem to grasp - we all have different skill ceilings. Something that YOU don't find that hard to master is something another person may never be able to pull off no matter how hard they try.

And finally, in no way do I feel that From or any other dev are obliged to make any game easier for those with less skill. Their art is theirs. All I'm saying is that as a massive From fan for years, I enjoyed this game less than their other ones SOLELY because of the difficulty

I didn't feel that way at all in this game. I mean, I literally mentioned it in this thread:https://twitter.com/miracleofsound/status/1111793676731199488 …
